The Toronto Maple Leafs took a little adventure down to the Rogers Centre this afternoon in some team bonding activities in collaboration with the Toronto Blue Jays.
During the event, we got to see just how athletic Auston Matthews is, with a video of him hitting a home run during the Jays' batting practice.
This isn't the first homer Matthews has hit in the Rogers Centre. Back in 2017 he was also filmed hitting one out of the park during batting practice.
The All-Star Centreman is no stranger to the ball diamond, playing baseball at a high level during his youth. His "Papi" nickname has its origins in David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox, who is also the inspiration behind the number 34.
You can see him flexing his arm strength in a throw to Mitch Marner from shortstop to first base.
