BREAKING: Bad News for Maple Leafs Defenseman John Klingberg
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been struggling to stay healthy and one of their top defensemen just faced a major back in his return from injury.
Klingberg Leaves Practice Early
This week the Toronto Maple Leafs have headed to Europe to partake in the global series. They brought more than a full roster in case anything happened and it seems as if they will be down one of their top defenseman, John Klingberg.
Klingberg has been struggling with an injury that he has dealt with throughout his career and now things have taken a turn for the worse.
John Klingberg has departed practice roughly 10 minutes in.
It is currently unknown what the injury that forced him to leave practice is but it is likely the injury he is trying to come back from. Coach Sheldon Keefe also commented on the matter.
John Klingberg won't play tomorrow, per Sheldon Keefe.
Is Keefe worried that Klingberg's injury will keep him out long-term?
«It's certainly getting to that place.»
Hopefully, Klingberg is able to take the time he needs to return as if he continues to rush back, he could hurt himself more.
Thankfully the Leafs have many defensemen who are capable at the NHL level but only Morgan Rielly can rival what Klingberg brings offensively from the blue line.
More details to come.
