BREAKING: First Round Pick Placed On Waivers
Today two players were placed on waivers. One has a connection to the Toronto Maple Leafs while the other is a former first-round pick.
Former Maple Leaf Placed On Waivers With A Former First-Round Pick
Today's waiver announcement had a bit more noteworthiness to it for NHL and Maple Leafs fans. Former Maple Leaf Michael Hutchinson was placed on waivers by Detroit. Along with him, former First Round Pick and top prospect Tyson Jost was placed on waivers by the Buffalo Sabres.
Both players found themselves in a situation where their team had too much depth and had to make a move. Now Hutchinson and Jost will be on the hunt for a new home. If claimed they will continue to play in the NHL if not they will head to the AHL and look to get their career back on track.
