It was announced this morning that longtime Maple Leafs coach and former player Dallas Eakins has been named GM and head coach of Manheim of the DEL.
Former Toronto Maple Leaf Dallas Eakins Gets Massive Job Overseas
Dallas Eakins played in the NHL for over ten years, including a stint with the Maple Leafs in 1999. After his retirement, he was head coach of the Marlies and assistant coach of the Leafs for over 5 years, before going on to be head coach of the Edmonton Oilers and Anaheim Ducks.
Now, with his NHL chapter seemingly over, Eakins has been named head coach and general manager of Manheim of the DEL.
