BREAKING: Major Update Regarding Ilya Samsonov
For anyone hoping that goaltender Ilya Samsonov would be in net for the Toronto Maple Leafs in game 4 against the Florida Panthers, things aren't looking good.
Samsonov was not in attendance for practice with his team today. Instead, it was Joseph Woll and Matt Murray working with goaltending coach Curtis Sanford.
This is a pretty good sign that Samsonov will not be available for game 4, which takes place in Miami on Wednesday.
Samsonov left game 3 after a collision with teammate Luke Schenn. The nature of his injury has not been discussed, but he was scheduled to have MRIs.
The Leafs will need every break they can get in order to hang on to any hope of winning four straight games.
