BREAKING: Toronto Game Delayed For Concerning Reason
A Toronto Marlies AHL game was delayed earlier today and the true reason why has now been revealed.
Marlies Game Delayed Due To Team Doctor's Absence
Earlier today, the Toronto Marlies were set to face off against the Cleveland Monsters, the Columbus Blue Jackets' affiliate, but the game was delayed for a bit. AHL insider Tony Androckitis revealed the true reason behind the delay.
The Toronto Marlies home game against the Cleveland Monsters is currently under a delay. It was supposed to start at 4pm.
The reason is that the team doctor is not in the building yet, and the game cannot begin by rule until the team doctor is on-site.
While the fans in attendance were likely bothered by having to wait for the puck drop, the players take priority here and any play without a team doctor on site is a dangerous one. Thankfully the teams took caution and were able to keep this dangerous sport as safe as possible.
The game was not delayed for too long and the game got underway. Currently, Cleveland leads the Marlies 2-1 with about halfway left in the game.
