BREAKING: Toronto Maple Leafs Game Tonight Delayed
In breaking news, the Toronto Maple Leafs game will be delayed tonight for a surprising reason.
Leafs to Delay Start Time of Game In Order to Celebrate Tavares 1000th Point
The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that they will be delaying the start of the game tonight in order to hold a ceremony for Captain John Tavares, celebrating his career achievement of hitting 1000 points. The ceremony will see his whole family brought on the ice before the game to commemorate his successful career thus far.
Update: The Leafs will be honouring Captain John Tavares tonight for reaching 1,000 career points last week in New York. Tavares and his family will be honoured with a ceremony pre game.
Tavares became just the 98th player in NHL history to hit the major milestone when he assisted on the tying goal against his former team the New York Islanders last week at UBS arena.
Leaf fans will be able to give him the celebration he deserves tonight on home ice in front of his family.
