Toronto will undoubtedly be one of the most active teams this summer. After they find a new General Manager, they will have many UFAs to deal with.

Elliotte Friedman has identified a particular player who might join the Leafs.

Peterborough Native to Retire as a Leaf?

Corey Perry has nothing left to prove in the NHL. He's won a Stanley Cup, reached the finals three times in a row, and demonstrated that one can remain competitive even at 38 years old.

Recent rumors suggest that Perry might join the Leafs for the final stretch of his career.

''Looks like Corey Perry will be hitting the market. After all these years, will the Maple Leafs finally make it work? Think of the content.''

Perry spent the last two seasons in Tampa Bay after playing a year in Montreal. After losing twice in a row in the finals against the Lightning, he thought he'd have a better shot at winning the Cup if he joined them, but as you know, things didn't unfold that way.

His leadership, grit, and determination make him a solid addition to any team that signs him.
