Former Maple Leaf Tragically Loses His Fight With Cancer
It was revealed that a former Toronto Maple Leaf, Brad Maxwell, has lost his battle with lung cancer.
Maxwell Passes
It was announced that former All-Star and Toronto Maple Leaf Bard Maxwell passed away after losing his battle with lung cancer.
This is his family's announcement via GoFundMe:
"We want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support shown to us during this difficult time. It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Brad «Maxy» Maxwell on September 3rd, 2023. Those who knew him were truly lucky, and he will be deeply missed. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers,"
Maxwell played ten years in the NHL spent mostly with the Minnesota North Stars but he also played with the Nordiques, Leafs, Canucks, and Rangers.
He spent one year with the Leafs in 1985-86 where he played 52 games and had 26 points.
Our thoughts are with his family. May he rest in peace.
