With rookie Matthew Knies having an incredible start to his NHL career last year in the playoffs, it will be exciting to see where he lands on the Leafs depth chart this season. An ideal spot for him could be on the third line with Kamf and Jarnkrok.
With these three, Keefe would be in a great position to have a third line that has the defensive capacity to stop opposing top players, while also contributing to depth scoring that the Leafs desperately need.
With his performance last playoffs, Knies could earn a spot in the top-6. However, putting him on the third line with veteran centreman David Kampf would be ideal, as the defensive centre could be a great reinforcement as Knies learns how to play defensively in the NHL.
Jarnkrok is basically a lock for the third line, as Mitch Marner and William Nylander are easily 1a and 1b right-wingers. Playing Knies, Jarnkrok and Kampf together gives the Leafs all of the tools, size, and speed needed to have the depth that they have been looking for.
