Insider Expects Leafs To Interview Four Big Name GM Candidates
After firing Kyle Dubas a couple of weeks ago, the Leafs future has fallen down a spiral of uncertainty. Many expected Dubas to be the GM of the Leafs for a long time but after Brendan Shanahan fired Dubas, things went up in the air.
Now the Leafs are searching for a new GM and almost any big name on the market is linked to Toronto.
Frank Seravalli, a reputable NHL insider, tweeted out who he expects the Leafs to interview.
All of Botterill, Bergevin, Treliving, and Chiarelli has been the GMs of other teams at certain points in their careers.
That is the largest ask of the Leafs in their current GM search, somebody with GM experience as they do not want to hire a rookie GM who could get exploited easily.
Of these four candidates, Treliving and Bergevin seem like the most appealing options because of their long tenure in Canadian markets.
