In a press conference today many Leafs players were questioned about their thoughts on being with the team in the future.
John Tavares was asked if he would be willing to waive his No Movement Clause and quickly shot down any idea of leaving the Leafs.
With Tavares saying that he wants to stay a Leaf and would be willing to change positions before leaving the team, it solidifies that his future will be in Toronto.
While at the moment this is a good thing, it could potentially handicap Toronto in the future because Tavares' massive cap hit could potentially prevent the Leafs from building a cup-winning team.
