Joseph Woll Reveals His Secret to Shut Down the Panthers
Leafs Goalie Joseph Woll has emerged as an unlikely hero for Toronto, as the team fended off a potential sweep at the hands of the Florida Panthers, winning Game 4 2-1, setting up for pivotal Game 5 back home in Toronto, and now, Woll has revealed how he managed to finally break the Leafs bad luck.
In a post-game interview, Woll said that his secret to being able to win against Florida, and his secret plan is by not having a plan at all.
"The aim is to not be thinking.....a big thing I think I've come to is when I'm playing my best, when I'm out of my head."
Woll helped backstop the Leafs to their first second round win in 19 years for the team, having taken over for Leafs playoff starter Ilya Samsonov, who left Game 3 with an injury, which Woll took over.
Now back home in Toronto, Woll will look to once again maintain that composure, in a series that will never be of ease for the at-risk Maple Leafs.
