Leafs Make Surprising Roster Move Ahead of the Playoffs
The Leafs appeared to have made a decision on top prospect Matthew Knies heading into the playoffs. It now appears, however, that they have changed their mind.
Knies an Extra at Practice
After giving several shows of faith to Matthew Knies heading into the playoffs, Sheldon Keefe appears to have changed his mind.
Knies is wearing a grey sweater at practice, which indicates that he is an extra. With the post-season starting at home in Toronto on Tuesday, this almost certainly means he won't be in the Game 1 lineup.
We will see if Keefe changes up the lines at some point in the playoffs, as it would definitely be a boost to have Knies' skill in the forward group.
