Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, the ownership group of the Toronto Maple Leafs, made a major announcement earlier today.

They will undertake significant renovations at the Scotiabank Arena.

"The Scotiabank Arena Reimagination project is for our fans, first and foremost."

-Cynthia Devine, Interim President and CEO of MLSE"

According to MLSE's head of venues, the renovation will start in June, after the Leafs and Raptors' seasons:

"Nick Eaves, head of venues for MLSE, with an optimistic start date for the $350 million renovation at SBA for late June, "hopefully after deep playoff runs" by the Leafs/Raptors."

Looking at the Upcoming Changes in Toronto

With these changes, the Maple Leafs aim to offer a better experience for the fans.

Here's what's coming to the Scotiabank Arena:

"Here's a thread with some of the Scotiabank Arena changes after the #Leafs and Raptors 2023-24 season.

The arena will have a "Tunnel Club" where spectators can get a brief look of the players as they walk out to the ice/floor."

"MLSE announces $350 million renovation of Scotiabank Arena, concourses, food, private boxes and for Joe Fan, that nifty idea of an AI beer store you can walk in and out of with no lineup that the Jays have. Construction will begin after Leaf/Raptor seasons."

"Following the conclusion of the 2023-24 Maple Leafs and Raptors seasons, an all-encompassing design makeover of the 100 Level concourse will begin along with the construction of new innovative spaces within the walls of the arena."

Here are some pictures of their plans:
