Marner Brings Down A Nasty Slash On Wild Star

Marner was given a minor penalty on the play but could be facing far more discipline after the fact.
Marner To Face Major Punishment After Slash
After having many people watch the slash on replay there are worries that Mitch Marner could face additional punishment. With no long-term injury to Eriksson Ek, a suspension is unlikely. However, a fine definitely could be in the future for Marner.
Marner just slashed the hell out of Joel Eriksson Ek. TV timeout so I don't know if it's two or five. Wouldn't be shocked at five or a fine. JEE was messing with him beforehand but yeah, quite a whack. @sdpnsports
Once the Maple Leafs make it back to Toronto watch for the Department Of Player Safety to make a statement indicating what kind of potential punishment Marner could face. As long as he isn't suspended the only person who might suffer is Marner and his bank account.
As any updates become available on Marner's potential discipline we will get them to you.
