The Toronto Maple Leafs took a tough loss last night to the Florida Panthers. Usually a team's mentality following a loss is a good indicator of how they'll respond, and Toronto goaltender Ilya Samsonov was certainly in an interesting head space last night.
Samsonov Swears at a Reporter
In his post game media availability, Samsonov was asked about his thoughts on opposing goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky's stellar performance. Samsonov was less than enthused with the question being asked, and let the reporter know how he felt.
"I don't give a fuck» - Ilya Samsonov
This was a surprising response from the Leafs goaltender, who's usually quite and calm mannered. This type of reaction when speaking to the media may be an indication of where the Leafs' locker room is at right now.
The video of the incident can be found here:
Hopefully for the reporters' sake, the Leafs start playing better, and Samsonov's mood improves.
