A few hours before William Nylander's contract extension was officially announced, a wedish media outlet reported it first, meaning that they might have gotten the information before everyone else.
Swedish Media Announces Nylander's Deal
The paper Sportbladet, focusing on Swedish athletes, reported that Nylander has already signed his deal.
In their article, we learned that he apparently signed his $11.5 million a year deal.
This comes after Elliotte Friedman's major revelation about Nylander's situation on Saturday night.
Nylander showed the Leafs' management that he deserves such a figure after yet another successful first half of the season, tallying an impressive 54 points in 37 games with the Maple Leafs, a pace to score 120 points season.
He took a bet on himself before the season started. He refused to sign so that he could show his management that he's worth more than what they were offering him.
