Former NHL referee Tim Peel took to X, formerly known as Twitter, after the Toronto Maple Leafs' 6-5 overtime loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night.

On Friday night, around 9 pm Eastern, Peel delivered another banger of a tweet.
According to Peel's tweets, he thinks Samsonov is an awful goalie who should go back to Russia
Peel also does not think Toronto has any defensemen as well. Many in the online community have always been critical of Toronto's defense, usually undeservedly so.
More people were also unhappy with Samsonov's performance, including the coach
Sheldon Keefe was another person unhappy with Samsonov's performance on Friday night.
The Athletic has also come on board saying that the Leafs should move on as well with writer Jonas Siegel suggesting they cannot play Samsonov any longer.
It is safe to say there is a lot of frustration in Leaf-land with how the team is playing, even as they spot a 17-9-7 record.
