The Toronto Maple Leafs shocked the hockey world last summer when they fired general manager Kyle Dubas, later replacing him with former Flames GM Brad Treliving. Tonight the Leafs got the last laugh as Treliving's Leafs dominated the Penguins on the scoreboard.

Leafs Fans Taunt Kyle Dubas In Return To Toronto

For Dubas, this was his first visit to Toronto as the general manager of an opposing team. While Toronto can often be an intimidating place to play, it is especially rough for former members of the organization who exited on bad terms. That is exactly what happened to Dubas as Leafs fans taunted him during the game.

The Leafs were only up 6-0 at this point in the game, but that is certainly enough reason to taunt the other team from the stands. To make matters worse for Dubas and the Penguins, that wasn't even the final score as William Nylander would add another to make it 7-0.

Night Of Firsts For Toronto Maple Leafs Players

It was an all around epic performance from the Leafs, who got several clutch performances from their depth players in the absence of Auston Matthews. Bobby McMann scored his first career NHL goal in the game.

What a name. Congrats on the first NHL goal👊

Leafs rookie Matthew Knies also had an eventful night as he recorded his first career Gordie Howe hat trick after he set up Max Domi for a beautiful goal, completing the accomplishment.

Leafs goaltender Martin Jones, who was just recently called up, continued his strong play, improving his record with the Leafs to 3-0 while recording his 1st shutout with the team.

All in all, it was a pretty good night in Toronto.
