St. Louis Blues GM Doug Armstrong was in attendance for the Leafs game against the Blackhawks last night and it has led to rumors of a blockbuster trade.

Armstrong Attends Leafs Vs Hawks

Last night the Toronto Maple Leafs fell to the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 in a disappointing fashion. However, there could be a silver lining to this game as Blues GM Doug Armstrong attended and was scouting out some of the Leafs' talent.

The Blues have a plethora of talent on the blue line and have been rumored to move one of their blue liners in favor of some more spread-out talent

Mock Trade

If the Blues decide they need to have some more forward talent, they could look to a top-nine Leafs forward and take a downgrade at defense to do so.

To TOR:
Colton Parayko

To STL:
Calle Jarnkrok
T.J. Brodie
2024 1st round pick
2027 2nd round pick

Parayko is a stay-at-home 6'6" defenseman who is under contract for seven more years. At 30 years old, there are questions on how his contract will age but he would bring something that the Leafs are in dire need of; a defensive right-handed defenseman.

While the Leafs would part with some significant assets to make this happen, they would also clear up some cap space to make another minor move and even potentially resign William Nylander.
