A new report this afternoon has put the status of a Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman in doubt for tonight's game.

Over the past couple of days questions have come about regarding Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin. Yesterday Lyubushkin missed practice putting his status for today's game in question.
Sheldon Keefe on Ilya Lyubushkin missing practice:
"He took some hits yesterday & things tightened up on him today so wasn't feeling as good. We're still hopeful he'll be available tomorrow, but we'll just have to see how he responds."

With his absence from practice, many fans were hoping to see Lyubushkin during the team's morning skate. As the Maple Leafs took the ice for their optional skate Lyubushkin was part of the group on the ice.

After a positive skate this morning Lyubushkin is expected to play. This likely means Simon Benoit will remain out of the lineup. However, if Lyubushkin ends up warming up and isn't ready to go Benoit could be inserted into the lineup.
All eyes will be on Lyubushkin as warmups commence to see if he will be ready to go for puck drop.
