The Toronto Maple Leafs placed a player on waivers yesterday and today he was stolen by another franchise.

Lagesson Claimed Off Waivers

Yesterday the Toronto Maple Leafs placed William Lagesson on waivers.

Today, it was sadly confirmed that he was claimed by the Anaheim Ducks.

#NHLDucks claim William Lagesson off waivers from #Leafs.

It is unfortunate for the Leafs to lose a piece like Lagesson for nothing but they have acquired Ilya Lyubushkin and Joel Edmundson over the past week so it stings a bit less.
