Chris Johnston drops major update on William Nylander ahead of game 3
The Leafs are set to take on the Bruins in game 3 tonight at home, and Chris Johnston has just dropped major news about the status of William Nylander.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been battling the Bruins without one of their top guys in William Nylander, and they are fortunate to be coming out of Boston with a 1-1 series split. Nylander missed both games with a mysterious injury, and fans are calling for more information on what is going on with the star forward.
Now, insider Chris Johnston has revealed that there is a good chance that William Nylander will be in the lineup tonight for the Leafs.
This morning on #FirstUp, we asked @reporterchris if #LeafsForever fans will see William Nylander tonight and he said that he'd "be surprised if we didn't". 👀
This has fans excited, as the Leafs can desperately use the scoring that Nylander provides, and will give the Leafs another layer of firepower that they have been missing on their second and third lines.
Ultimately, we will have to wait until warmups to be certain as to whether or not Nylander will be in the lineup. If he is, this would be a huge addition for the Leafs, and it should give them an edge that they didn't have previously.
