Not all of Craig Berube's answers were as insightful and deep as the previous one. When asked what it means to get this job with the Maple Leafs his answer was short and simple.
Berube: «Great franchise, great opportunity.»
His lack of expansion on many of his answers led fans to compare the press conference to an iconic clip from The Simpsons.
Craig Berube was not the only one to speak to the media today as Brad Treliving also gave his thoughts on the new Maple Leafs head coach. He confirmed Craig Berube's ability to push players was a main factor in his decision.
Treliving on Berube: «This time of year you have to push people and push them into uncomfortable situations. But first you have to connect with them.»
