Craig Berube had his introductory press conference with the Toronto media while answering questions he decided to take a shot at Kyle Dubas and Brendan Shanahan.

Craig Berube's introductory press conference yielded plenty of newsworthy quotes. One of the quotes that went under the radar was in reference to moves made by the Maple Leafs in the past. Craig Berube complimented Brad Treliving for his work but threw a subtle diss at Kyle Dubas and Brendan Shanahan.

An encouraging moment was Berube saying the move toward the Leafs playing the way they need to play was seen in this year's playoffs. Craig credited Brad for the move toward playing the right way. No credit to Brendan and rightfully so.

Many Maple Leafs fans have been excited about the hiring of Craig Berube for his motivational skills. The best example of this was his speech to his St. Louis Blues team before Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Coming along with his fantastic motivational skills he does sound to be a bit lacking when it comes to systems and the more game-planning side of the game. This means the Toronto Maple Leafs will still need to hire quality assistants to help bring those areas along.

As the offseason continues the Toronto Maple Leafs will continue to add to and change their roster under new leadership. With these comments from Craig Berube the wheels might turning on extensions for players like Tyler Bertuzzi and Max Domi but only time will tell.
