The coaching carousel has started, and it has now hit the north, with Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe being fired on Thursday morning. A decision made by GM Brad Treliving after another first round exit.

Darren Dreger has now broke down what's to come for the Leafs and their next coach. It was announced this Thursday morning that Leafs head coach has been fired from his job.

Sheldon Keefe has been let go by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Keefe replaced Mike Babcock in November, 2019 and ranks 5th in Maple Leafs coaching victories.

TSN analyst posted on twitter an update for the Leafs next head coach search:

Toronto is focused on finding the right fit, however there is a want to act quickly. Work is underway in hiring Keefe's replacement. Treliving isn't making a rushed hire, but he won't wait around either.

Unlike other teams who seem forced to hire a new coach right away, GM Brad Treliving won't exactly be rushed into a new move which can indicate he is confident in many coaches, (insert Craig Berube). Craig Berube has been linked to the Blue and White since the beginning of the playoffs, therefore we won't be surprised if he is next in line for the prestigeous role.
