Full details of Leafs Chris Tanev's contract are finally revealed
Chris Tanev has been linked to the Toronto Maple Leafs since Brad Treliving arrived, and now the former Flames GM has got his man once again.

After some time, the Toronto Maple Leafs have now officially inked a deal with 34-year old veteran defenseman Chris Tanev, a major boost to their struggling blue line. Now, NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman has revealed the details of his new contract, and it's safe to say that Tanev will be quite happy with the AAV.

The contract will carry Tanev through to his 40's, as well as having a full no-movement clause throughout, something that Maple Leafs fans haven't been a huge fan of in recent times. Still, it's a major boost for Toronto, who now land one of the NHL's premier shutdown defenders, and if he can stay healthy for the next few years, he'll be a huge pickup for a team that is once again chasing a Stanley Cup.
