In recent days there have been many names thrown around in the conversation for the Toronto Maple Leafs' new head coach. The one that has caused the most debate is surely former Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville.
Joel Quenneville, of course, is known for being the head coach of the Blackhawks dynasty. But also for being involved in the cover-up of misconduct by one of the coaches in the Blackhawks organization. In a recent interview, he spoke about his role in the entire situation.
It seems that if the Toronto Maple Leafs are unable to secure the coaching services of Craig Berube that Joel Quenneville is many people's second choice. This includes people like Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun and former Toronto Maple Leaf Jay Rosehill.
With Joel Quenneville now suggested by several Toronto media outlets it is possible he becomes a serious candidate before the process is over. If the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to even consider hiring Joel Quenneville they need to do some serious research into his involvement in the Blackhawks scandal and what he has done to improve since.
It remains to be seen who the eventual Toronto Maple Leafs head coach will be but Joel Quenneville will certainly be a name to watch out for.
