Artur Akhtyamov does not have a particularly large amount of hype behind him, but he has done very well since the Leafs drafted him in the 4th round, 106th overall in 2020. This season he lead his team to a championship in Russia's second-tier pro league, the VHL. He went 16-5 in 21 playoff games and put up a .932 save percentage as well as a 2.15 goals-against-average. In 19 regular-season VHL games he went 10-5-4, and had a .927 save percentage along with a 2.00 goals-against-average.
Artur Akhtyamov also played in 17 games at the top Russian league, the KHL. He went 6-7 in his starts, putting up a .921 save percentage and a 2.51 GAA, still very respectable numbers.
At this point, Akhtyamov clearly has NHL level potential. The only concern the Leafs might have is his size, as he comes in at just 6'1". Regardless, he is likely a name you will be hearing more often in the coming years.
