Maple Leaf Fans Lead The League In The Best Category
The Leafs fans are leading the league in a special category!
Leafs Fans Are the Best in the League in a Certain Category
The fans in Toronto are often seen as one of the most passionate crowds in the entire NHL. We just got another piece of proof.
Our colleagues over at Maple Leafs Insider reported an interesting fact about the Leafs fans: they say,
We drink the most, we spend the most.
Leafs fans are the undisputed drinking champions of the hockey world.
Deal with it."
As you can see, the Leafs are on top, with the Chicago Blackhawks and the Tampa Bay Lightning not far behind.
Explaining Why the Leafs are the Drinking Champions
Prices to see the Maple Leafs in action are insane. Tickets went for thousands of dollars in the last playoffs, and not everyone can afford it.
However, those who can buy tickets certainly have enough money to buy a few beers at the games!
On average, they buy 3.9 drinks and spend $58.50 on alcohol each game. Adding that to the game ticket, a parking spot, and a snack, an evening at the Scotiabank Arena isn't cheap.
However, the Leafs put on one hell of a show.
