They went 3-2-0 throughout the span, this included a 3-2 win against the Predators on Sunday.
During the match against the Predators, fans witnessed what appeared to be an argument between Sheldon Keefe and Michael Bunting.
It appeared that Keefe wanted to explain something to Bunting, who turned his back onto Keefe during the discussion, this resulted in Keefe benching Bunting for the remainder of the game.
This incident sparked a lot of discussion amongst fans, who wondered if there are tensions rising between the two. Fans cited that Bunting recently lost his spot on the first line with Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner, he sunk down to the third line.
After a recent Leafs practice on Tuesday, a reporter asked Bunting about the incident, he explained that no rift between him and Keefe is forming, he downplayed the incident.
Michael Bunting has a lot of energy on the ice, Bunting is a player who plays on the line, and sometimes playing on the line involves taking a few penalties.
This season he has taken a few too many penalties at the wrong times. Perhaps the argument between the two was simply Keefe warning Bunting not to take any penalties.
Whatever the argument was about, it appears that there is nothing to worry about between the two.
