In 10 NHL games, he showed what he's capable of and frankly, he impressed many skeptical fans.
Now, the NHL Network released a ranking of the best prospects in the NHL and his spot is causing a stir.
According to the NHL Network, Knies is the 14th best prospect in the NHL.
This is huge!
He's ranked higher than notable prospects like Shane Wright, Ryan Leonard, David Reinbacher, Jakob Pelletier and many more.
At this point, it's easier to look at who's better than him than who's worse.
Of course, Connor Bedard, Adam Fantilli, Matvei Michkov, Leo Carlsson and Logan Cooley are placed higher in the ranking.
But seeing who's Knies compared with and where he is in the ranking can give hope to Leafs fans who where still unsure about him.
The Leafs have a truly great player in Knies and if he develops well, he could become a real threat to the other teams.
As seen on Maple Leafs Daily -
