The Toronto Maple Leafs are in dire need of another Defenseman.
The gaps left by the poor play of John Klingberg, along with some injuries, have made it clear that the Leafs' biggest weakness right now is on the back end.

Nikita Zadorov is exactly the defenseman the Leafs need to add right now. What is even better, Brad Treliving was the GM who signed Zadorov to his 2-year deal in Calgary.
The relationship is there, it will just take some effort to get Zadorov into a Leaf Jersey.
Leaf Defensive Injuries Showing How Fragile the Blueline Is
Yes, the Leafs are in a unique injury spot right now that is showcasing how poorly John Klingberg is playing.
However, this is something that they need to be prepared for come playoff time. Injuries down the stretch happen all the time, and the Leafs would be reminiscing if they weren't prepared for that.
Zadorov is a big-hitting defenseman who can play big minutes, not unlike Luke Schenn, who the Leafs lost in free agency this summer.
The Leafs will get an opportunity to see Zadorov live in person tonight when they face the Flames in what feels like a must-win for the club.
