After the Maple Leafs' upsetting playoff elimination in the first round at the hands of the Boston Bruins, the people in Toronto can rejoice: they have another team to follow.
In the PWHL, Toronto is currently one win away from eliminating Minnesota in the semi-finals and reach Boston in the finals.
Unfortunately, one of their key players suffered an injury that will put an end to her season.
After the Leafs got unlucky in the playoffs with Auston Matthews, William Nylander and Joseph Woll missing games due to injuries or health conditions, another key player for a Toronto team won't be able to help her team as they make a push for the Finals.
Natalie Spooner, who led the League this season for points, with an impressive tally of 27 points in 24 games, will miss the rest of the playoffs because of an injury:
In the playoffs, Spooner ranked 11th among the scorers, with two points (one goal and one assist) in three games.
This is a terrible loss for Toronto, but they still have a lot of talent on their roster, with Hannah Miller, Reneta Fast and Sarah Nurse.
Don't miss the game tonight, as Toronto could clinch their way to the finals with a victory.
