The Vegas Golden Knights are reportedly on the verge of letting four free agents leave the team, including Anthony Mantha and Alec Martinez.

This summer is shaping up to be very interesting to follow in Vegas. Following great moves at the last trade deadline with Tomas Hertl, Noah Hanifin, and Anthony Mantha, Kelly McCrimmon now finds himself under a lot of pressure to continue improving the team while letting go of some contracts.

A new report from The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta states that the Golden Knights are preparing to let Anthony Mantha, William Carrier, and Michael Amadio leave the team, while Alec Martinez, 37, is looking at his options:

"Here's what we know so far: forwards Michael Amadio, William Carrier, and Anthony Mantha will not be brought back. All three are aware and are planning to test the free agent market on July 1. Defenseman Alec Martinez doesn't appear to have a spot on the blueline any longer; he'll be 37 in late July and word is he's evaluating his options."

Let's not forget that the Golden Knights must also deal with Jonathan Marchessault and Chandler Stephenson, two key players on their roster.

While it may be hard letting go of some players, like William Carrier, who's been in Vegas from the beginning, the team must move forward as they try to get better for next season.

Do you think the Vegas Golden Knights are making a mistake by letting these four players leave the team?
