Throughout his NHL career, Phil Kessel has proved himself as one of the most sturdy players in the league's history.
Throughout his 1,294-game career, he played 1,064 games straight and is currently still pushing that streak.
Since 2010, Kessel has played in every single NHL game he could possibly play in. After being drafted 5th overall by the Bruins back in 2006, Kessel has gone on to play for them, the Leafs, the Penguins, the Coyotes and the Golden Knights not missing a game for every team but the Bruins.
Through his nearly 1,300-game career, Kessel has registered 413 goals and 992 points.
Currently sitting without an NHL contract, not even a PTO, Kessel is in danger of missing out on the 1,000-point mark.
While he is a shell of himself, he is still quite solid and could play on any fourth line adding a scoring kick.
Coming off his 3rd career Stanley Cup, Kessel may decide to go out on top but doing so would cost him a mark he is so close to reaching.
