We now know a date and time for when Cowan will likely first be seen in a Leafs uniform.
The Leafs will play in the Traverse City Prospects tournament again this season.
They will go up against the Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, and Detroit Red Wings throughout the tournament.
Traverse City is considered one of the premier prospect tournaments of the summer.
Easton Cowan is likely to suit up for the Leafs during this prospect tournament.
The Leafs' first game will come against Columbus on September 14th at 3:30 ET. While we don't know the exact rosters for the tournament yet several of the Leafs' top prospects will likely be in action.
This will be a good return to hockey action after such a long offseason.
This will also be a good first step for any Leafs' prospects who may be close to an NHL opportunity to show what progress they have made this offseason.
Leafs have many young upcoming prospects that will also be wearing the blue & white in Traverse City.
That list includes top prospects Roni Hirvonen & Topi Niemela who are now playing in North America.
One prospect to keep an eye on this year will be Fraser Minten who has developed nicely for the Leafs and gives them lots to be excited about. It will be interesting to see how they perform in this tournament.
The full roster will be released in the coming weeks.
