Chicago Blackhawks Connor Bedard's Return Date Is Revealed And It's Longer Than Expected
Most NHL analysts probably would have picked Connor Bedard to win the Calder trophy this year. However, his recent injury could lead him to miss enough time that other players could pass him in the race.
Bedard To Miss Up To Two Weeks With Fractured Jaw
It was recently revealed that the rookie sensation could miss up to eight weeks with a fractured jaw. If he were to be out for the longer side of the expected range, he would likely return against the Capitals on March 9th. He suffered the injury when he was hit by Devils defenseman Brendan Smith.
I've yet to see any angle of the clip of Brendan Smith's hit on Connor Bedard that isn't just clearly and obviously a clean hit.
Bedard is 18. He'll learn how to navigate open ice without leaving himself vulnerable like this with time
The Blackhawks were slow to give an update on his status but it has since been confirmed that he will be out 6-8 weeks.

This is a huge blow for an already depleted Blackhawks club. Bedard leads the team in goals with 15 and points with 33.
