Red Wings Forward Robby Fabbri Left Bloodied After Massive Hit
Last night the Red Wings and the Flyers faced off in a good old-school style game. With tight checking and elite defense being played throughout the game the two teams were going blow for blow with each other.
Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri probably got the worst of it all after he was left bloodied due to a hit from Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen.
Upon closer review, it was not the original hit that left Fabbri leaking but rather the follow-through of Ristolainen's stick hitting Fabbri's face.
Rasmus Ristolainen rocks Fabbri with a big hit Risto's stick hits Fabbri in the face on the follow through, cutting him.
Ristolainen was not assessed a penalty on the play.
Flyers Take Down Red Wings 1-0
To add salt to Fabbri's wounds, his Red Wings got shutout by the Flyers who were playing backup goaltender Samuel Ersson.
The lone goal was scored by defenseman Cam York in the first period.
The Flyers are currently second in the Metropolitan Division and are continuing their strong season on the backs of a solid John Tortorella system and consistent goaltending.
As seen on Hockey Feed - Fabbri busted open after hit from Ristolainen.
