Last night was a disaster for the Dallas Stars they lost to the Edmonton Oilers and one of their key defensemen Chris Tanev is dealing with a potentially serious injury.

In the second period of the Dallas Stars' loss to the Edmonton Oilers defenseman, Chris Tanev went to block a snot. The puck went off his foot and he immediately went to the bench. After being in pain on the bench Chris Tanev would head to the locker room.

Unfortunately for the Dallas Stars, Chris Tanev would not return in Game 4. Now his status for Game 5 is also potentially in doubt.

Chris Tanev leads the postseason in blocks which ultimately seems to have led to this unfortunate injury but in the process helped his team immensely.

The last block was the one that may be remembered the most.

With just one day off for the Dallas Stars it does not give Chris Tanev much time at all to recover. The Stars should give an update either this afternoon or tomorrow morning regarding the health and status of Chris Tanev. Once those updates are provided we will pass them along to you.
