Kevin Bieksa blasts Edmonton Media in post-game panel rant
Sportsnet's Kevin Bieksa completely blasted the Edmonton Media during a live intervention following the Oilers' 5-2 win in game 4.
Last night, after scoring two quick goals, the Dallas Stars fell and the Oilers scored five unanswered goals to win the game.
Following the game, the Sportsnet panel discussed the game and a quote from Kevin Bieksa is raising eyebrows in Edmonton.
While talking about Darnell Nurse struggles since the playoffs started, he stated that the media in Edmonton were "raw, dead and dumb.":
"Darnell Nurse, you think about his day, his morning. He gets to the rink, and he has to meet with the Edmonton Meat, that's what I call the media because they're raw, dead and dumb."
Bieksa refers to Nurses' pre-game press conference that he gave hours before puck drop.
Nurse gave a terrible interview, answering questions from reporters with only a few words before walking away before the end.
For a player who earns $9.25M and struggles like Nurse does, the least you can do is show that you care in interviews.
Of course, it's hard to keep your composure and professionalism when you're not performing well enough and reporters persist with their tough questions.
