Montreal Canadiens prospect Luke Tuch and his brother Alex, who plays for the Buffalo Sabres, will hold the first-ever Tuch Hockey Camp in the Syracuse suburb of Cicero this week.
A portion of the money raised will be donated to the AT9 Foundation.
This is a foundation that helps children who are going through difficult times in all aspects of their lives, but particularly on research to end childhood cancer and to help those in need.
The camp will be held all week and over 30 young people will participate.
I thought it would be great to give back to my community and help kids get back into hockey. They play a lot of different sports over the summer like lacrosse, soccer, basketball, baseball and football, so we'll be working on a lot of different aspects, a lot of skating, puck handling and some high intensity drills to get everyone moving. Obviously, there's going to be a lot of shots on goal and goals scored as well," said Tuch, a second-round pick of the Canadiens in 2020 (47th overall). "We're going to make sure the kids get out of their comfort zone a little bit. I know they're going to love working with us." -Luke Tuch
Kudos for the initiative!
