Toronto Maple Leafs forward Ilya Mikheyev will demand a salary of between $4.75 million and $5.5 million a year, according to reports from The Athletic's insider Pierre LeBrun.
As LeBrun reminds us, just because he asks for that salary doesn't mean he'll get it, especially considering the salary cap issues for all NHL teams.
One thing is for sure, at that amount, he won't be back with the Leafs next season.
In 53 games last season, the Russian had 32 points.
