Andrew Zadarnowki has raised a very relevant assumption, in an effort to find a replacement for Jesperi Kotkaniemi, who has accepted a one-season, $6.1 million offer with the Carolina Hurricanes. Marc Bergevin still has a few days to match the offer or not.
Why not replace the third overall pick in 2018 with the third overall pick in 2012, who is Alex Galchenyuk?
It's an inexpensive solution that could work very well. The 27-year-old Galchenyuk had 12 points in 26 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season, including four in six playoff games.
