With the new administration at the Habs, the concern for transparency is much more important than what we experienced under the Marc Bergevin era. Far be it from us to blame or belittle the former GM of the Canadiens, but we must admit that the new approach with journalists and fans is refreshing.
Even in the case of Carey Price, we knew before the season started that he would miss a lot, if not all of it. Now it remains to be seen what will happen with number 31 in the future and the state of his knee, which prevents him from returning to the game.
According to Eric Engels, who covers the Habs for Sportsnet, a press conference is about to be announced:
« I believe Carey is out of town for a while and when he returns, he will speak alongside Kent Hughes and a Canadiens doctor to explain his situation. He won't play this season. » - Eric Engels
This is very interesting news, especially since Engels confirmed that Carey will not play this season. So the most optimistic are now set.
