On Thursday, Joel Quenneville, the Panthers' coach, resigned after being implicated in the slow response to Beach's accusations of sexual assault by Aldrich during the 2010 Stanley Cup playoffs.
Captain of the Panthers was shocked and had plenty to say about the situation:
«I'm just really sad for (Kyle). It's a terrible situation. I couldn't imagine being in that situation.»
«It's been a crazy few days. We're a team that's a bit distracted right now, but we've got to come together.»
«We're all humans here. There are things that are more important than hockey.»
Nothing was spoken about Quenneville resigning, however you have to believe this is difficult for his teammates to accept. You see in the interview that Ekblad looked uncomfortable.
