Alex Ovechkin's big statement after the defeat yesterday

Since winning the Stanley Cup in 2018, the Washington Capitals have not been able to get through the first round.

Could this be the end of Peter Laviolette in Washington? That will obviously be something to watch this summer.

However, yesterday after the game, Alex Ovechkin didn't mince his words about his team's elimination.

I think you all saw how we played against the best team in the regular season. We had it, but we blew it. It's our fault. It's my fault, it's Backy's (Backstrom) fault, it's Osh's (Oshie) fault, it's Carly's (Carlson) fault. It's everybody's fault. It's really a m$rde situation." - Alex Ovechkin
