Alex Ovechkin revealed how he celebrated goal 802 and it's hilarious
Alexander Ovechkin made NHL history yesterday by scoring his 802nd career goal, passing Gordie Howe for second most in NHL history.
The Great 8 revealed how he felt in that very moment in a post-game interview with NBC:
It's nice to get it done at home...family, our friends, obviously fans. It's a great feeling.
While this is just one milestone in his pursuit to pass Wayne Gretzky's leading total of 894, Ovi plans on celebrating this goal in a very special and unique way.
Here was Ovi's response on how he would celebrate his milestone goal:
Going to a bar right now. Hot dogs, nachos, you know. Why not?
Only Ovechkin, who drinks Coke and Dr. Pepper on the bench, would give an answer like this.
Whatever he's doing, however, seems to be working, as he cements himself in NHL history goal by goal.
