The first pick in the last West Hockey League (WHL) draft by the Medicine Hat Tigers, Gavin McKenna, had an outstanding debut this weekend.
Only 14 years old because he is late, McKenna recorded four assists in his first game with his new team.
The Tigers had a lucky hand, as the young forward will be eligible for the 2026 NHL draft. He still has several years of development ahead of him.
Another exceptional player to watch?
